Chromebook 14 ca061dx
Chrome OS

I purchased an HP Chromebook 14-ca061dx on 10/31/2020 and have been using the camera with Zoom video conferences several times a week. On 11/24, the video froze in the middle of a Zoom meeting and then the camera stopped working and would not turn back on for the remaining 30 minutes of the meeting, but the received video and 2 way audio was working. On 11/28 after the Chromebook was powered off and on, the camera worked on Zoom for 30 minutes then stopped working again and hasn't worked since. The camera does not work for any other app including the Chrome OS camera/video app or Google Meet and the following message is displayed:  "Cannot detect your camera; please check the device and connection and try again."

I've tried the following without success:

- power off/on

- uninstalling Zoom app / reinstalling Zoom app

- deleting user / adding user

- Powerwash

Is there any way to run a diagnosis on the camera? Otherwise I will be returning this Chromebook as it is still under warranty.
