HP ENVY 15-k013nl
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

A couple of months back, I had to teardown my laptop to clean it from the dust and when I reached the motherboard I noticed that it has what seems to be an nvme slot. So I was wondering if there's any possibility to upgrade it with a 120gb m.2 or nvme ssd.

The laptop is an HP ENVY 15-k013nl.

Here's a photo of my motherboard (not mine I did not think of taking one) : FreeShiping-For-HP-Pavilion-15-P-Laptop-motherboard-763588-501-DAY11AMB6E0-with-I5-4210U-CPU-and.jpg

Thanks in advance,

-Mark

That is exactly what it is. Supports 2280 form factor SATA M.2. Not NVME. Something like Samsung 860 Evo. See a picture of it in the Manual at page 79. Notice it also shows what looks like maybe a WWAN card going over the M.2 at right angles but your board (at least the picture you took) does not include that feature.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

I was worried to buy an ssd for nothing!

Thanks again,
