Hi

 

I want to try and make my laptop VR capable with Steam, I don't really want to start taking it apart unless I can upgrade so if possible could someone please advise me if it's even possible and if it is what would I need to purchase to make it so.

 

Model: 15-ah100na

CPU: AMD A10-8700p Radeon 6 

RAM: 8gb

OS: Windows 10

Looks like you have to buy new system board, you can't change CPU/GPU because it is soldered to the motherboard and you don't have many options, only

Note: You have to pay for new system board which has


  (a) Motherboard,

  (b) CPU / Processor

  (c) GPU if available

  (d) New Windows license (you can't reuse old license)


Because all 4 (or 3) above components are on one piece of hardware called system board.

Not possible. Look for another way to do VR. The video is not upgradeable on that laptop and it is a long way from being VR ready.
