HP ENVY M7 N109DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good evening, I have the HP ENVY M7 N109DX and I would like to update it because I find it slow with the SSD M2 SATA III. I refer to your manual, but looking in the forums I saw that full user of this model says that the M2 slot is not activated by HP therefore their SSD did not work. Yesterday I saw in your forum a user having the same problem and you redirected it to the manual yet despite the manual full of people say that the slot does not work.help me please I am lost. does the slot really work? if users were able to mount a SSD on this model please please help me.Please :Pleurs::Crying:

@Huh-
Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • What is the exact issue with the computer?
  • Are you experiencing an issue with SSD?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for the reply. My product number is M1W11UA, Envy M7 n109dx.

The only issue I have with the computer are that the computer doesn't recognize the M.2 slot, even in Bios, diskpart, or disk management.

The SSD is brand new and 256gb
