Product: HP ENVY Notebook - 17t-n000 CTO (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP ENVY Notebook - 17t-n000 CTO (Touch) (ENERGY STAR) and when the battery already installed and plug the charger the battery strt charging then when i disconect the charger to use the laptop only with battery and reconect the charger the laptop not charger at all So I have to clost the laptop and plug the charger and open the laptop then install the battery so i can charge the battery I dont know what this really how I fix this even I bought the chrger cable on the motherboard thinking it might the one inside the laptop not work but NO its work I got my brother battery and his charger same model but I have the same problem with my laptop

Welcome to HP Support Community.

 

Please uninstall the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery

 

Step 01. Click on the Start Button
Step 02. Type "Device Manager" in the start search box & open the Device Manager
Step 03. Look for Batteries and expand it by click on the + symbol on the left
Step 04. Right Click on "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" & uninstall
Note: This Battery driver will get re-installed automatically when you restart the Notebook again
Step 05. Please Shutdown the Notebook
Step 06. Please remove the Battery and unplug the Power Adapter
Step 07. Press and Hold the Power Button for full 1 Minute
Step 08. Go ahead and put back the Battery and connect the Power Adapter
Step 09. Look for "Plugged In Charging" message on the Battery icon
 

Also update the BIOS from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
