HP ENVY Notebook - m7-k211dx (ENERGY STAR) Hard drive upgrade to SSD?

HP ENVY Notebook - m7-k211dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to know how to upgrade my EXTREMELY slow hard drive in this laptop to an SSD. All the other laptops Ive ever owned had a cover to remove and the hard drive would be able to be removed by various ways. On this model I cant seem to find a spot on it to be able to do this.

Hi,

The following link shows the specs of your machine;

    http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-m7-Notebook-PC-series/7527539/model/7734388/document/c04...

It has slow  1TB 5400RPM hard drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection. Yes, you can upgrade to SSD and yes, with new design you need to be careful fecause this is for Authorized Service Provider parts. You can try at your own RISK using the Maintenance and Service Guide   (from page 62). Manual is on the following link:

Regards.
