HP ENVY x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had my HP ENVY X360 for about 4 months (bought new). Yesterday when I went to close the screen I heard a cracking popping noise. I opened the laptop back up to find the left hinge broken and a crack in the screen from the hinge attachment area.
I contacted support today (10/21/2021) and they told me that if it was just the hinge it would be covered under warranty, but because the screen cracked, it is not. The screen cracked because of the broken hinge. The only way to prevent this issue would have been if I had known the hinge was faulty and never have opened or closed my laptop. This is unreasonable.
