Envy x360 Convertible 15-cn0019tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This model nottebook has 1TB hard disk plus 16GB Optane memory in the NVMe slot (as accelerator).

I want to upgrade it with a larger SSD (500MB or 1TB) in the NVMe slot, clone the OS to it and boot from the SSD (as drive C:), but leave the hard disk in there as additional storage (eg drive D:).

Is this possible, and are there limits on the capacity of SSD in the NVMe slot?  I ask because there is something in the data sheet about max 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD (as a combination).

Thanks for any clarification.

(I cannot see anywhere on HP site to ask an actual HP tech.)

As far as I can see, there is no capacity limit for an NVMe slot. You can choose a large SSD based on your need. Be careful about the cloning process, or you may encounter the cloned hard drive shows wrong size issue.
