Solved!

HP Elitebook 735 GS Fan goes full speed all the time

HP Recommended

I have a Elitebook 735 GS that suffers from a noisy fan I guess.

Im running the latest Win 10 version, latest BIOS from november 2020 . The computer is clean. No dust what so ever.

Even on idle with CPU usage of 2-3% and HW monitor showing less than 40 degrees, the fan suddenly spins up on max and it can cut, then go max again, and cut and then go max again....

Theres no "faulty" sounds from the fan, its just that its goes full speed when it doesnt seem to be needed at all. A pain in the a**  when trying to attend a VTC on Teams for instance. I have to mute my laptop all the time....

I'm clueless about this.

Any help or advise much appreciated!

Not much help to get I see. All I wanted was to contact HP, but it seems impossible to do so. From the chat robot, you just get tossed around in a neverending loop of "not getting any help".

The chat robot has asked me to set me up with a HP support tech many times, taken my warranty info and so on, but it never ends with the option to actually communicate with a human being within HP customer service.  - But I guess its cheap to have customers helping customers out. Problem though is I guess in total, very few actually get their problems fixed.
