HP Envy 13-aq0012tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I recently bought my HP Envy 13. I came here to ask a few things that I was not able to directly ask from the reseller.

My laptop model is HP Envy 13-aq0012tx and here are my questions:

Is my 8GB RAM user upgradeable to 16GB RAM?

Can the type-C port be used to charge my laptop aside from the AC port?

What is the maximum capacity that my micro SD card reader can read? I wish to use a micro SD card for storing large files and make it stay there.

Thank you!!

Hello @deeeyvidC,

Since the USB-C port support PD 3.0, yes, you can charge the notebook PC through the USB-C port.

The recommended USB-C AC adapter is listed below:

65 W HP Smart AC adapter (non-PFC, USB-C, slim barrel, 4.5 mm) L40713-001

You can then use the HP Spare part number(s) in the HP Parts store hereYou may also be able to find it elsewhere on the Internet. However, reputable third-party USB-C chargers that support around 65W should be fine. Note that attempting to charge your laptop with a phone charger such as a Google Pixel charger or Samsung Galaxy USB-C charger will be futile as it does not supply enough power.

HP doesn't list a maximum capacity that the micro SD card reader accepts. I can say with confidence that 64GB will be fine but not quite sure for larger capacities to be honest.
