HP ENVY - 13-ah0007nx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Both hinge mounts are broken. I see plastic chips coming out and there is a huge bulge in the bottom case close to hinge. A little bit of search and it seems like it's a common problem. I would appreciate if HP resolves the issue.
I would need the keyboard panel, assuming that would have better mounts where hinge can be mounted and laptop starts working again.

@rj448488,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

That sounds really frustrating, especially with the plastic breaking and the bottom case bulging. 😕 When did you first notice the issue? Did the hinges feel stiff or make any creaking sounds before it happened? Also, has the laptop been opened or repaired before, or did this just happen gradually over time?

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Yes, After I notice the bottom part bulging and some plastic pieces coming out from the space I did notice occasional sound while trying to close the lid or open it. It has never been opened before.
But now I had to open it to check how much damage is done. I see on both hinge the screw mount has broken. 5 of the 6 screw mount are broken.
Can HP send me the base panel (which has keyboard and touch pad, where hinge screws are mounted. )
