I'm based in the US and will be traveling to South Africa and Zimbabwe with my HP Envy 15 Notebook PC where the voltage is 220V. Will I require a converter in addition to the adapter while in these countries to power my device?
Thank you.

Nope. Just the physical plug adapter. The AC power brick is international and will provide the same output to the laptop with input I believe from 100v to 240v so works in US and European type systems. It should confirm this on the fine print on the adapter brick if your eyes are that good.
