HP Envy Broken Screw Fitting on Case Near Left Hinge

Product Name: envy
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I read many about many people with the same issue as me in the "HP Envy 17 Broken Screw Fitting on Case Near Left Hinge" thread, but there was never a fix described, only "I sent you a private message."  Please help!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details). If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Mine broke a little after a month of purchasing it. I ignored it, which was a mistake. Now it has been about a year later and I have had more plastic fittings break. I kid you not, I have duct tape holding my laptop together. Why not make the fittings out of metal? [Content Removed]
