HP envy m7 n109dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I need help with my hp envy m7 n109dx laptop to upgrade/add an ssd.

I have purchased WD BLUE SN500 500GB nvme ssd.

i cannot see it either in the boot option nor in the disk partition. I installed it correctly and i tried to see if i can enable M2 on bios but there is no option for me to enable under security.

I will really appreciate your help. thank you

@johnadam2165465, Welcome to HP Support Community!

As per the product specifications, your PC supports 512 GB M.2 SATA SSD. And when you install the SSD it automatically will get detected and you do not have to enable M2 on BIOS. To resolve the issue of SSD not getting recognized on the PC, I would recommend you remove and reseat the SSD and see if that helps!

Also, we at HP do not recommend or support changing hardware components.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
