Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For quite a while now I've noticed that my laptop lid does not close properly and stays sprung open about half an inch. It's not affecting anything however it is beginning to annoy me especially as the laptop is less than two years old and is in 'as new' condition otherwise. I've had other manufacturers laptops (Lenovo 6+ years and Asus 4+ years for example) and never had this issue before with any of them. There is nothing restricting the lid or the hinges so not sure why it won't close. Any ideas please?

This sounds like hardware related issue with the display assembly,
