HP x360 convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I plugged the AC adapter into the Envy and there was no charge light.  I tested the adapter with a voltmeter and it puts out what it is supposed to, 19.5v.  I tried un-installing the charger control driver and that caused the charge light to flash white.  As I recall it should be solid Amber when it is charging. I thought it might be charging but it was not. The battery is now completely dead.

I opened up the laptop and found the two red wires broken on the pigtail that connects the adapter to the circuit board. The laptop is less than 2 years old and has not been abused.  This is simple mechanical engineering and wire strain relief.  I should not have to open up and make these kinds of repairs.  Come on HP, get your sh!? together.
