The notebook does not have a separate CMOS/RTC battery like the old model notebooks with external batteries had.

 

The main battery also serves as the CMOS battery to maintain the BIOS and system clock settings.

 

So, without the battery you will have to reset everything each time you turn on the notebook until you decide to install a new battery.
