The hinge on my laptop has broken at some point when just opening and closing my laptop. The broken hinge is making the screen bulge out considerably and I'm scared that the next time I open it, the screen is going to shatter. I've taken great care of this thing and looking on the forums it seems as if this is a common defect with the model. I spent a good bit of money on what I thought was going to be a laptop that was quality made to last me through medical school. It's been maybe 2 years since I've had the thing and it's frustrating to see that this is a known issue. Now I'm in the middle of the semester so I cannot go a day without a computer for study purposes and a live HP support seems unreachable. I'm just posting on this forum to see if HP will send me a direct message because I've gone through everything automated and have gotten nothing accomplished.
