HP Envy x360 TouchSmart Battery will not charge

Envy 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Battery not charging. Laptop will function when conneted to adapter. Called support #, was told it was corrupted files, support can fix it for a price. If fix does not work will refund money. This seems like a scam.

HP Envy x360 TouchSmart Battery will not charge

Hey @Sigma6,

I understand you're having issues with the battery. I would like to help.

The call that you mentioned does indeed sound peculiar. I'm wondering if maybe you contacted the wrong number. How long have you had the notebook?

Also, what is the exact model number? If you're unsure, use this guide: HP Notebook PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number, Serial Number or Product Number?

In the meantime, give this troubleshooting guide a try: HP Notebook PCs - Battery Does Not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge

Please get back to me.

Cheers,

TechSurge.

HP Envy x360 TouchSmart Battery will not charge

I have the same problem. The battery stopped charging and even if I leave it plugged it will lose 1% charge every few days. I'm down to 6%

The system model is:

Product name:HP ENVY 15 x360 PC
Product number:G6T84UA#ABA

I ran battery diagnostics and got this:

Battery Check : Primary - Replace (42)

Failure ID: GLQ31R - 76B868 - MFPV7F - C0CR03

The computer is 1.5 years old. It is strange the battery has been damaged.

I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers and it did not help
