HP Envy x360 m6-w103dx m2.ssd installation

HP Envy x360 m6-w103dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I don't want to swap my 1TB HDD to 2.5" SSD, rather I want to install a M.2 SSD on my HP Envy X360 m6-w103dx. I came to know that not every m.2 ssd is compatible with this laptop. I searched a lot and found that this laptop requires 256GB M.2 SATA-3 (NGFF) TLC type SSD. Please help me to choose a compatible SSD.

https://www.amazon.com/MyDigitalSSD-240GB-256GB-Solid-Bullet/dp/B01BO4IUS4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=14...

Will this be compatible with my laptop? If not please recommend me some m.2 ssd which will be compatible with my laptop. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This is what I suggest, it would work:

Visruth,
Thanks for the reply. Your suggested Samsung 850 EVO m.2 ssd uses 3D V-NAND controller but as far as I know my laptop requires TLC controller. Isn't these two are different? Actually I'm from Bangladesh and here m.2 ssd is very hard to find. This is why I want to bring it from USA through my friend. I'm very concerned about compatibility as I won't be able to return it if not compatible. Thanks again

The one I linked to is indeed using TLC V-NAND flash technology

I've seen forum members with exact same M.2 specs given in the manual do this upgrade successfully.

Did you install a m2 SSD in addition to 1TB  HDD? How is it working?

Did you swap the OS to the SSD?

I would like to upgrade my recent HP laptop (Same config as yours) with SSD.
