Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, this laptop had a 5400 rpm 1tb drive from the factory.  I added a Kingston SA2000M8250G NVME hard drive.  When I run crystal disk mark the performance is quite poor.

When I review crystal disk info I see the following:

As you can see next to transfer mode I'm using PCIE 1.0 x2 but the laptop supports PCIe 3.0 x4.  Additionally I have confirmed that HP offers a NVME drive upgrade for this laptop.  My laptop and the drive are on the latest firmware.

However HWinfo shows that the drive controller is NVMe (PCIe 2x 8.0 GT/s).

If it helps HWinfo says the mainboard name is 84AE, the version is 86.30 and the firmware is F.31 by Insyde.

I would appreciate any help speeding up this drive.  It seems even slow for two lanes.

Thank you,

Matt
