My HP laptop often when powered ON, is stuck displaying nothing. A black lit up screen, no HP logo, nothing. Sometimes takes more than 30 mins to even show th HP logo. It's 8 years old, 4GB ram and got SSD installed a couple years back. i3 processor.

Hi,
Can you get into BIOS?
You could try performing hardware diagnostics at boot and see if there are any problems with the hardware
Turn off the PC by holding the power button
Turn on the PC and repeatedly keep hitting the ESC key until startup menu appears
Press F2 to enter diagnostics
Perform the fast system test or at least the Hard Drive test
It could be a problem with the drive or even OS . Can you provide the exact model or product number of the notebook?

Hope it helps,
