Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am looking to use my laptop for Android development, but the current specifications does not match the requirement to run Android IDE tools, i.e. 12 GB RAM is a minimum requirement. My laptop specifications shows 1 slot with 8 GB RAM, can I replace the same with 12 GB RAM ?

Hi:

 

Your notebook has two memory slots and each slot can take an 8 GB memory module.

 

See the service manual at the link below, chapter 1 for the memory upgrade info...

This is the compatible 8 GB memory part number for your notebook.

 

Crucial CT8G4SFS824A 8 GB (DDR4, 2400 MT/s, PC4-19200, Single Rank x8, SODIMM, 260-Pin) Memory, Gree...

 

If you want to buy a 16 GB kit, it would be cheaper to buy directly from Crucial.  They are out of the single 8 GB chips.

The report is for a 15-bs085na, but uses the same memory as yours.
