Can anyone tell me when the above laptop was introduced? I am looking for a replacement for my old laptop and saw this one.

Consider this and add in the optional 16 gig Optane module together with the 1 TB hard drive. Provides SSD speed at a budget price but still has a full 1 TB storage

Likely could find a similar 15 inch model if you prefer that. This comes in at $589.99 with the Optane which is an insanely good deal on an i7 machine.

I see you may be in UK. Here is a great deal at 650 pounds:

Can anyone suggest a laptop for under £600 for home use. Would prefer one with HDD not SSD.

HP Recommended

Why not SSD? What screen size would you prefer?

HP Recommended

15inch or 17 inch screen. I prefer more storage space.
