HP OMEN 15-en0004nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Community,

My system is an HP OMEN 15-en0004nl with (2x8)16GB 3200Mhz 1.2V SODIMM RAM . I would like to ask about RAM and SSD upgradability.

Given that I work in a research center I can make use of more RAM (32 at least, preferably 64GB) for simulations and optimization workloads.

I would like to know what is the system's maximum RAM capacity. In various sites I read that the maximum is 64GB (2x32GB in dual channel), can you confirm?

Near my place, I only found as a viable ram the HyperX Impact SODIMM 1.2V 3200Mhz CL20 and I wonder if it is compatible with the system.

Regarding SSDs, I think my model should have a free slot. Can you please give me information about compatible NVMe SSDs?

Finally and most importantly I would like to know if a RAM or/and SSD upgrade on my model could void the warranty.

Thank you very much.

Its specs

1. RAM: It has  16 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB) now. You can upgrade to 32GB (2 x 16GB) or even 64GB (not 100% sure)  using same series of existing RAM . A tool called CPU-Z will show you what it is. You can also use compatible RAM

2. STORAGE: Yes, it has a spare slot for M.2 NVMe SSD. You can use 1TB or 2TB same specs/series of the existing drive or using

           Or similar from reputable vendors.
One example (compatible drive, can use smaller/larger capacity)

Dear @Banhien,

thank you very much for your reply.

I understand crucial RAM compatibility, even if, given that on AMD Renoir I cannot enable XMP profile from BIOS, and that it is a 1.35V memory and not a 1.2V one, it will run at 2666Mhz instead of 3200Mhz. Unfortunately in my country, only HyperX Impact is available right now, and it is a SODIMM 3200Mhz, 1.2V certified for compatibility with AMD Renoir chips.

I was wondering if precisely that RAM was confirmed compatible by HP.

Moreover, I would like to tackle the question about the warranty. Do RAM and SSD upgrades void the warranty on my model?

Thank you very much.
