Hello.
I have an HP omen 17 gaming laptop, and i want to remove the 1TB 2nd HDD and replace it with a 500gb SSD, i have looked at the service guide for this laptop and watched some videos and understand what it entails (remove bottom cover, undo cable, remove HDD.
what i wanted to know is, does me doing so invalidate the HP carepack that i took out when i bought the pc ?

Hi @dtpuk ,
The Carepack will remain valid for the period for which you purchased it.
The only recommendation I would make is for you to put that original 1TG hard disk aside in a safe place.
If your Omen needs repair, in order to avoid losing the SSD when or if you have to send it in for repair, replace the 500 GB SSD with the original 1TB 2nd hard drive before sending it in.
