For your information
The device has been purchased new
It has not been used for more than a full week, and it can be less
At first I had a problem with the charger not working
It was the time of the Covid-19 period
I waited two months to receive the new charger from the dealer
Under warranty of course
After that I had to move to another city and did not use the device
When you return and use the device, you will be surprised by this problem

Hi@R-m-s, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I would need a couple of details more to help you resolve the issue.

Let me know if the sound is coming out from the speakers/when you play a video or from the right-hand side (one end) of your notebook

  1. Press Windows key + X.
  2. Click on Control Panel.
  3. Double-Click on the SoundIcon and click on Speakers.
  4. Click on Properties.
  5. Click on Enhancements
  6. Now click "Disable All Sound Effects"
  7. Click OKand check if the issue persists.

If the issue still persists, as a workaround, I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the Sound drivers in Compatibility mode and check if it works for youRefer to the steps below:

Follow the steps to uninstall the Sound driver:

  1. Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
  2. Expand ‘Sound Video and Game Controllers’.
  3. Right-click on the Sound device listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
  4. Select the option to Delete driver software.
  5. Restart the computer after its uninstalled.
  6. update the BIOS.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi @R-m-s

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
