HP Pavilion 15-cs2975nd
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello.

A few days ago I booted my hp pavilion 15-cs2975nd and found that the USB ports stopped working completely. Later I found out the SD card reader, bluetooth and webcam also didn't work. The laptop is also unable to shut down (the screen is off but it's sleeping) and I can't wake it up from stand by mode.  I assumed it had something to do with some update which was automatically installed, because before shutting down my laptop everything worked fine.

This turned out to be the cause because after trying a lot of things, I think I downgraded windows to a previous version and everything suddenly worked again. The USB drivers are appearing in the device manager but they are unknown, and the resetting of the USB port has failed. The webcam driver is just gone, and bluetooth simply won't connect to devices. SD cards are not showing up anywhere.

Unfortunately one day later the same thing must have happened because the USB's, SD card reader, Bluetooth and webcam weren't working anymore, again.

To this point, I have tried everything Google and HP support suggested, and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING, I reset my laptop 3 times, with local and cloud Windows, throwing everything off the PC, etc. All drivers are updated, both from HP and Intel. I tried countless batterysettings and I even took out the battery for a power reset.

I think it must be a driver which controls the USB ports, SD card reader, Bluetooth and webcam, but I have no idea what that driver is.

Also it can't be a hardware issue because after the issue appeared, it shortly disappeared and the entire laptop was working fine.

I hope someone who has had this issue and somehow fixed it can help me, HP support is out of options and told me that it's a hardware issue (which it's not).

Thanks in advance.

Hello.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately this does nog work since the oldest restore point is from after the problem occured. When I try to reset the laptop to this oldest point it gives an error saying the laptop can not be restored.
