Hi. I have 2 x 4GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM in my HP Laptop. Can I upgrade it to 2 x 16GB (32GB total)?

Also, can you let me know the exact specs of the RAM memory I need to buy?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi, Tom:

Yes, you can install up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory in your notebook.

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ec0xxx model series with the Ryzen 3xxx processors, but even in that model series 32 GB of memory is supported.  See chapter 1.

I recommend Crucial memory since they guarantee compatibility for the model series.

Can I choose memory with any CL or should I look for a specific one?

HP Recommended

The DDR4-3200 memory needs to be CL 22.
