HP Pavilion SE 15-fd0051na - Core™ i3

I am looking to buy a HP Pavilion SE 15-fd0051na - Core™ i3, and I would like to know the specifics of my RAM upgradability - I am not sure if it has one or two slots and is there a limit for capacity. I know that it is DDR4 and I assume that it uses SO-DIMM.

According to chapter 1 of the service manual, your notebook has one memory slot and can support up to 1 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory.

What would happen if you say for example put a 32gb RAM stick in this single slot?

It might have a good chance of working.

The crucial memory report for the models with two memory slots indicates it will support 2 x 32 GB of memory.

However, the Intel processor specs indicate the processor supports up to 16 GB of memory.

Worst case scenario is the notebook doesn't boot up with 32 GB of memory and you install a 16 GB memory chip instead.

If you decide to go with a 32 GB chip, let us know if it worked or not.

I still think it may.
