Pavilion 15-ab221nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion 15-ab221nl Notebook, and I wanted to open it to remove dust. I've tried to unscrew one of the two Phillips PM2.0x2.0 broadhead screws in the optical drive bay, but I used the wrong screwdriver (a 000 instead of a 0000) and now it's really, really stripped. How can I remove it? Would it be a problem to leave the laptop with one screw less?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

One less screw in the Notebook does not affect the performance or functionality. Since it is stripped, it will be difficult to remove it

As long as the Optical drive is being held in place by the stripped screw then no issues

Else you might have to contact HP Support in your region for Service Options

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.

Thank you
