Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion g7-2224nr. For the 2nd time now the housing has broken at the hinge by the fan. Last time I was able to find another g7-2224nr housing to replace it with very cheap online. My question is I have access to a g7-2292nr really cheap missing HDD. Are parts interchangable between housings?

The cases should be the same in the all models in  G7 2200 series. If you look at Specs for both models you will see same ports on both.
