Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

hp pavilion notebook won't turn on, battery light flashes 3 times when charger plugged in

My laptop was working fine until it died. I had been using it and not realised the charge was so low until the laptop switched itself off. I put the charger in after this happened and left if for 15 minutes. However it won't turn back on and doesn't look as though it is charging. When I press the power on button the battery light blinks 3 times and nothing else happens. I have held the start button for 15 & 30 seconds and removed and put the battery back in and neither has worked.

HP pavilion 15-au183sa.

Power adaptor seems fine and is putting out 19.4V

Hi @middlemiller

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
