HP Pavilion x360 – 14-dh1179tu battery replacement

Morning folks,

My HP Pavilion x360 – 14-dh1179tu (Product number: 231T1PA#ACJ) needs a battery replacement. After opening the back cover, I found that the original battery is labeled HT03XL with part number L11421-1C7.

However, I’m having trouble finding a replacement with the same part number. Online, I see genuine HP batteries listed with part number L11421-1C1.

Please clarify whether L11421-1C1 is a compatible replacement for L11421-1C7?

Please go to: https://partsurfer.hp.com/?searchtext=231T1PA -which shows your laptops specs, and you'll see under "Battery" part number: L11119-856, which is of course what my purchase recommendation was all about.

Even though both are HT03XL type batteries, L11119-856 is the only part specifically listed as compatible in the HP documentation for certain HP laptop models, whilst L11119-855 is not mentioned in the same compatibility list.

I checked the battery once more and have attached a photo of it. The label on the battery says: ‘REPLACE WITH HP SPARE L11119-855 2020/09 CT:6JRKL05ZBE90ML.’ I’m a bit confused as to why it’s listed as L11119-856 in HP Surfer instead.

Look, I am recommending the battery part number specifically listed by HP for your laptop.

Honestly, L11119-855 is likely interchangeable with L11119-856 -after all, your current battery happens to be an L11119-855, but I am merely pointing you to the battery HP specified in their specs.
