HP ProBook 4540s - Boot from second hdd/ssd replacing Optical Drive

ProBook 4540s
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dears,

I replaced the Optical driver (DVD) with a second hard driver (SSD), but I cannot boot from it or even see this SSD in the Boot Options menu!

Anyone can help me, please!

Hi, You may want to try swapping the Primary HDD with the SSD, and place the HDD in the Optical drive slot.

HP ProBook 4540s - Boot from second hdd/ssd replacing Optical Drive

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.

I tried this option, but the first time I can't access the HDD from the OS in the SSD!

I searched, and find that the BIOS wasn't configured to read HDD/SSD from the Optical drive slot.

Then, I tried to edit some configuration about booting mode;

BIOS Setup > Boot Options > Change the Boot Mode and select "UEFI Hybrid (With CSM)", and now it's working.

Is these right steps?
