HP 15-bs021nx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi! Im trying to upgrade my laptop's RAM. The stock ram is a 4gb DDR4 2133mhz ram according to the product specifications online. (I havent tried to open up the cover). I only want to add one more 8gb ram instead of replacing the stock. Im currently looking forward to buying a Kingston 8gb DDR4 2666mhz RAM but I got nervous that it may not be compatible. I looked for info in the internet. Unfortunately, the memory specs for my laptop product (HP 15-bs021nx) is not available. I also looked into CPU-Z and according to it, max bandwidth is DDR4 2666mhz, which made me more into buying the kingston ram. But i asked some stores about it and they said i should stick to the same speed as my stock ram. What do you guys think? Should I buy the 2666mhz ram or stick to 2133? and is it fine to mix the stock ram with the kingston? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Hi:

Your notebook's  i5-7200U can only run the memory at a max speed of 2133 MHz.

A compatible 2666 MHz memory chip will work just fine.  It will bridge to 2133 MHz to match the FSB speed of the processor.

2133 MHz memory is extremely hard to find, and even 2400 MHz memory is going out of style.

If you can get either of these compatible Crucial part number in the Philippines, that would also work...
