HP SSD EX900 M.2 & HP 15Q-bu020tu

HP Recommended
HP 15Q-bu020tu

I have noticed an M.2 slot in my HP 15Q-bu020tu laptop. I purchased an HP SSD EX900 M.2 to replace my SATA 1 TB HDD. But when Ininstall the SSD in the m.2 slot, it is not allowing my laptop to power on. When I removed it, it works all well.

I bought it on Amazon, it doesn't exchange the item with anything else.

Is it possible that the M.2 slot on-board doesn't support NVMe SSD?

Your notebook's M.2 slot only supports SATA M.2 SSD's.

See chapter 1, page 3 of the service manual for the supported drive types...

You will need to exchange the NVMe SSD you bought for a SATA one.
