HP Spectre 13 (Kaby Lake) SLOW

[ Edited ]
Product Name: HP Spectre - 13-v100nl
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello guys.

Sorry for my english but im italian ...

I bought the new HP Spectre 13 Refresh with Kaby Lake.

I have the model with i5-7200U, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD.

But the computer is really slow, i see from the Task Manager that the cpu go to 100 % very often and use min 4-5 GB of RAM.

Even web browsing is frustrating ( with 3-4 tab open ).

I noticed also that the cpu work from 2.50 Ghz to max 2.71 Ghz, when should be from 2.70 Ghz to 3.10 Ghz.

Re: HP Spectre 13 (Kaby Lake) SLOW

I know all the informations of your link.

Dont solve the problem.

There is lag wherever.

All the system is slow.

Repeat :

The pc use minimum 4 GB of RAM .

And very often the pc use the CPU to 100 % , only browsing on the web (chrome-edge) with 3-4 tab is used the 80 % of the CPU.

Moreover, the cpu is castrated from 2.50 Ghz - 3.10 Ghz to 2.50 Ghz - 2.71 Ghz ( why ? I posted 2 screens to about this )

Re: HP Spectre 13 (Kaby Lake) SLOW

Hi @Master-Antonio,

Thanks for replying. As I understand you have  followed the steps suggested and still having the same issue. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

Common causes of slow system performance:

* Not enough free disk space or disk errors.

* Applications that require a lot of system resources.

* Too many tasks running at the same time.

* Nonessential graphic features.

* Not enough memory.

* Overheating due to intensive graphic applications or dust in vents.

* Running multiple instances of anti-virus software.

Microsoft Fix it Solution to automatically improve system performance

To automatically improve system performance, click the Microsoft Fix it Solution: MS Fixit 974820

Turning off nonessential graphical features to improve system performance

Graphical features and programs can use a lot of system resources.

Turning off these features can improve system performance.

This section explains how to adjust visual effects for best performance and how to disable Windows Aero.

For more details, please click here (Computer is slow – Windows 10)

Let me know if those steps worked for you.

If they did, that’s awesome! Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons, that’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Good Luck.

Thanks & Regards,

Re: HP Spectre 13 (Kaby Lake) SLOW

The problem is this process.

Audiodg.exe

I cant fix because i cant "disable the enhancements" as is described on the internet because everything is controlled by Bang AND Olufsen Audio.

Re: HP Spectre 13 (Kaby Lake) SLOW

Hi @Master-Antonio

Thank you for the screen shots.

I recommend you to uninstall the audio driver and reinstall it from the manufacturer website.

Also, download and install HP support assistant and install all the driver updates for your computer.

You can download HP support assistant from the below link.

Re: HP Spectre 13 (Kaby Lake) SLOW

Already did.

Nothing, no fix.

Same problem.

I think that is a bug of the driver or of the bios.
