Hi, as the title says. Bought the laptop end of July 2016, so just under 4.5 years old. Everything had been fine until a few days ago, it completely stopped working. As far as I can tell there is no charging happening, no lights when I plug in cord. I checked the cord against another device, so I know it works.

 

Thoughts? I saw some people suggest this is a motherboard issue that could cost $700 to replace, that's 70 percent of what I paid for it! Hoping for a cheaper fix especially if this is a common issue.

Hi, I've reached out at that link, gone through all the steps, and now been directed back here no closer to a solution. I've checked and rechecked the adapter, nothing seems to help. Laptop shows no indication of charging or having any power.
