I have a Spectre Folio 13-AK0013DX (Model 4TL67UA) where the leather is splitting apart at the edges and has plastic pieces peeling, like many of the other people who have had the same issue. I baby my electronics, and only occasionally use this laptop around the house so I'm really not happy that a laptop that was designed for executives can't even handle sitting around the house. I'd like to get it fixed even though I'm out of warranty, however I can't for the life of me find any way to contact customer support. There's no live chat, there are no phone numbers I can find that work- they all say they no longer provide support and to go online instead, but when I put my laptop info in online it knows it's a Folio, but also says it can't pull up specific details about it, so if there would normally be steps to go further for support there, I can't access them. How am I supposed to find out how/if this can even be repaired anymore, and if so how much it would cost?
Actually, after some more looking, I was able to find out that it's HP Total Care at 1-800-HP-invent (it won't let me fill in the numbers) that you should call and then they are able to do the repair (though it costs half the price of the laptop out of warranty, so buyer beware).
