HP Spectre X360 Hinge Disjunction

HP Spectre X360-15" (2017)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, just today I've discovered an issue with my laptop (recently acquired).

When closing it, the screen will hang over the bottom portion of the device by maybe about 1-2mm, sloping from the left to the right where it does properly rest. I notice as well that the medial joint of the left hinge where it connects with the screen is jutting out slightly, rather than resting flush as the right one does. I haven't had this device long and have pampered it as one would their own child, so this is of great concern to me. I can't recall whether or not I have insurance at this point, but I do have a copy of my receipt on my home desktop.
I am trying to include photos I took demonstrating my specific issues with measurements, but they exceed file size limit. If one would wish to see said images, I will happily supply if presented a means to do so.

I wish to hear back soon, thank you for your time.
