HP Spectre
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello. My son recently started using an HP Spectre for his work and I've had the same problem as this forum. Its out of warranty. Have paid to have it fixed once and it died two days later and now will not re start. if anyone at HP reads this, having read the other threads it would seem HP have acknowledged the problem and have a solution but only by private message. So I woudl appreciate any help in getting this repaired at this important time.

@ParkFarmer Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the HP Spectre won't turn on.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please let us know when you connect the adapter to the laptop are you getting any lights or any beeps code.

Please perform the hard reset and check for the issue.

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.

3) Remove the Battery. ( not for Built-in Battery computer )

4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.

5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)

6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step

Hi Praveen

Thank you for the reply. I have tried all that as per previous threads. No lights and it want do a hard reset. I Have two power supplies so I know its not that.

It seems that other users have had the same problem with these models. It is not that old and has had very little use.

Thanks
