My laptop shuts off without warning at approximately 33% battery life, per Windows. I paste the Windows battery report below. Any ideas?

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand the HP Spectre x36013 notebook shuts down unexpectedly,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
- Have you attempted to capture any error message that appears before or after the device restarts?
- Did you try updating the BIOS to resolve the issue? (If not, please Click here to find and install it)
- Does notebook shutdown when Ac adapter is unplugged?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
If Windows suddenly restarts without warning, or restarts when you try to shut it down, it might be caused by one of several issues. Windows could be set to restart automatically when certain system errors occur. A BIOS update can also resolve the issue. Use the information in this document to resolve issues with the computer restarting unexpectedly.
If the computer restarts unexpectedly and then does not start to Windows, see one of the following documents for steps to resolve this issue:
HP Guided Solution - No Power or No Boot Troubleshooting for notebook or desktop computers.
Keep me posted for further assistance.

- Have you attempted to capture any error message that appears before or after the device restarts?
The laptop turns off (black screen, cannot turn power back on) instantly completely without warning, so there are no error messages.
- Did you try updating the BIOS to resolve the issue? (If not, please Click here to find and install it)
I did update the BOIS to the latest version right after sending my message, and I ran the battery calibrator in the BOIS, but last night I experienced the same issue.
- Does notebook shutdown when Ac adapter is unplugged?
No, it does not.
After I charge the laptop again, the computer does boot into Windows. I have never had a problem booting into Windows other than when the laptop is completely dead.
Thanks.

Also, the "Battery Check" application in the HP Support Assistant never completes; it always returns "CANCELED."
And, the battery died last night at approximately 49%. Per the battery report (computer died at approximately 21:12:00)
20:06:22 Active Battery 83 % 40,858 mWh
21:12:00 Suspended 49 % 24,077 mWh

Please run a Battery Test from F2 Diagnostic to confirm the Hardware Functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.

Step 02. Type "Device Manager" in the start search box & open the Device Manager
Step 03. Look for Batteries and expand it by click on the + symbol on the left

Thanks. I reinstalled the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery.
Also, I re-ran the battery test in BIOS. The results were that the battery "passed," but said "calibration required (21)." The problem is, is that I already calibrated it through BIOS a few days ago (took about 5 hours), and experienced the problem again after calibration.
