Hello good people,
I have Samsung M.2 Sata Drive (EVO 860 2 TB) that I use in enclosures (sometimes swap between the two)

When I connect the drive to USB A port and create heavy read/write load (e.g. run CrystalDisk mark benchmark, or move large files between partitions or internal laptop storage), drive is simply disconnected and not detected again. The issue only occurs on USB A port with either of the enclosures, no problems with USB C ports. Issue also does not occur on another laptop on either USB A or USB C ports (MSI GT72 6QD). At this point, I have hard time believing that either drive or enclosures are faulty.
All available updates were installed, OS was reinstalled and BIOS reset, but the issue still persists.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
P.S. - tested it on some USB drives (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075WQM299/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and had same issue occur.
Thank you and have a great day.

@LavKiv If the drives work fine on an alternate device, and none of the drives work on the USB 3.1 Port on the notebook, it could be concluded to be a hardware malfunction within that particular port and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
