HP Envy 13-AQ1018TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I bought a HP tilt Pen and tried to connect it to HP Envy 13-AQ1018TX (Windows 10 Home edition 64 bit).

I bought it after consulting with HP virtual advisor for the compatibility, but somehow HP Pen software couldn't recognize HP Tilt Pen.

Looking for an advise. Thank you.

Regards,

Ade

If you are asking about "HP Pen Control" application, it is true that the Tilt Pen is not compatible with that application.

  • If you are not asking about the HP Pen Control, which "HP Pen" software have you installed?

and

  • Which version of Windows 10 are you running?

Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Preparation

  • If you have not done so, please run / update Windows Updates
  • If you have not done so, please up HP Software and Drivers

Thanks.

OK - mentioned - HP Pen Control application is not relevant to the Tilt Pen.

The Tilt Pen does use a driver.

Yes, best to have updated your HP software and drivers, especially for Windows 2004.  Excellent.

The following driver is rated for your version of Windows 10.

Driver

sp104294.exe

Information file

sp104294.cva

Download and Save the Driver to your computer.

  • Navigate to the folder in which you saved the software installation package (likely Downloads)
  • Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
  • After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in

Thank you @Dragon-Fur.

I tried to install the driver that you gave me (normal and as an admin). But only manage until extraction only, then could not go further.

Can you sent the link to the the older version of the driver?

Cheers,

Ade

Thank you for your support and advise.

However I still can't install the driver even though I already re-install windows 10.

Looks like the problem is hardware instead of software.

"Hardware"?

I guess it's possible though pen drivers are generally not prone to "not installing", even when they are the wrong version.

I do not have an explanation, unfortunately.
