HP Recommended

I have a HP ZBook Firefly G7 15.6" laptop and spilled a small amount of coffee on the touchpad. The keyboard and touchpad are working fine including the bottom left and right click buttons. But after two days of drying out, the two top buttons of the touchpad are still unresponsive. The HP Hardware Diagnostics Test for Input Devices revealed that all other mouse/touchpad functions were operating correctly.

If the TouchPad Click Button assembly (top 2 buttons) contains electronic drivers that were blown by the spill, then replacing that assembly should solve the problem unless there is another connected assembly/module that likely gets damaged at the same time.

What is the community's experience with this diagnosis and repair?

Thanks for your input,
