HP EliteBook Folio 9480M
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I’m an independent computer technician, mostly self-taught: I’ve been working with my own computers since 1987 and I’ve been in business since 2012. I have two customer HP laptops I cannot fix.  One is an EliteBook Folio 9480M and the other is an HP Envy 14 (14-1211NR). I’ve replaced the motherboards on each and they’re both made by Inventec as the ODM. Neither one of the replaced motherboards have been DMI tattooed. I have most of the information an HP technician needs to do this.

I’m at a total loss as to how to proceed; there are leaked tools (of course) and none of them work on these two particular laptops. I figure I’m not going to make any money on these, but they need to get back to their owners.

Looking at HP Support the only authorized dealers are in Seattle and Boise; there are none in Spokane.

How to proceed?
