HP spectre 360 not charging
03-16-2021 08:12 PM

Hi. I need some help, I have an ho specter 360 laptop since October 2019, so for lesser than 2 years. Today the battery was low and I plugged it in and it doesn’t charge, none of the lights are on either. The charger worked perfectly yesterday. Not sure what going on and need some advice on what to try besides a new charging cable, I already ordered one but I have the feeling that it won’t work. How do I get it to charge if the charger is good but it doesn’t light up and power button is dead too....is this a coming issue for an HP? Why even pay so much for one and it doesn’t even last 2 years? Thank you in advance for any suggestions

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
- Did you try another charger?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8. (Refer to the removable and sealed battery)
BIOS default:(do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
