Your Service Manual:
Proper memory is DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM. See pages 22-26.
8-GB (PC4-2400) 862398-857
2 of these:
Specs say your laptop has 2 x 4 now so you need to replace both with 8 gb modules to have 16. You could install up to a pair of 16 gb modules for up to 32 gigs total RAM.

Thanks for this!
just checking, you've said I could install 2 x 16gb sticks (32gb) but looking at the manual it says maximum 16gb. which one is correct? also do you know what screwdriver i would need for this? and are the feet reusable?

The manual does say 16gb is the maximum but users have proven in real life it will take 32 gigs. I think Crucial offers a 32 gig kit for it. Very few computer users really need more than 16, however. Standard tech Phillips screwdriver is needed. I think the Manual has a list of needed tools somewhere. The feet can be reused if you remove them carefully.
