HP Recommended
HP 3630 All in one Printer
Linux

Hi- I have just bought a HP All In One Printer today, and spent 3-4hrs trying to get it to work (no good)

I am using Lubuntu (Linux) system, and have tried about everything I know to make it work-

Tried manually setting it up from Linux software- but it doesnt exactly have my model and recommended a close version (3810)

Tried installing from cd, but it wouldnt install ?

Tried vivisting HP site- and although I found the model software thropugh various long winded menu's- HP wouldnt allow me to do wnload, as apparently they couldnt find my model and serial number - (its 3 hrs old)

I have only had the Printer 3hrs- so cant be out of date just yet can it ??

Tried to complain to HP, but when I filled in all the details etc- the submit button at the bottom of page is missing ?? great help

Tried to go direct, and email HP directly ie via a known email address- think I'd have a better chance finding the Pope in a brothel

Surely HP Help should be better than this, its not a very good advertisement for their company,

Any help appreciated, or will have to take back to retailer

Thanks Dave
